We Buried Our Love In A Wintery Grave…
We’re not the same, Dear, as we used to be.
The seasons have changed and so have we.
And there’s little we can say, and even less that we can do.
To stop the ice from getting thinner under me and you.(1)
More after the jump…

So, I was going to name this one “A D80 with Canon 1D MarkIII Autofocus“, but I figured nobody would get it.
EDIT 3/8/09: I woke up to find a slew of comments on my flickr page for this photo. Looks like I made the 3/7/09 Flickr Explore page… Which is pretty sweet considering it was only the Strobist group that saw it–one of the few groups on Flickr with consistently amazing photos. I actually feel quite honored.
Anyways, it didn’t turn out nearly as cool as I thought it would as it could have. I had really high hopes for this one, but what I envisioned just isn’t possible with one flash. I’ll have to try this again when I have another flash lying around. You won’t believe how long it took to freeze this thing too–absurd.
Photo was taken with a 3 second exposure so I had time to move my flash around and hit the subject from all angles. Still, it would have been a lot easier (and more controlled) if I had more than one flash.
10,000+ actuations later, I can safely say this is the best camera I’ve ever touched. When was the last time you bought something and thought, “Man… I’m so content with this, I will never buy another one until it is completely nonfunctional.”? Personally, that never happens. I can always upgrade and if money was no object, I would always upgrade except for two things–my MacBook Pro and my camera.
Below are some “making of” and outtakes. Enjoy.

This is pretty fantastic man! Quite quite impressive, I must say.
