Decided to do a little flash exercise. I wanted to stop out the ambient light while matching the matchstick and flame with a flash. It actually turned out to be a lot easier than I thought–matches are deceivingly bright. I used a snooted SB-600(1) at 1/16th power to the camera left, slightly in front of the matches (as a raking light to bring out the texture in the wood), It was remotely triggered by my on-camera flash.
